Malware, such as viruses and spyware, is an ever-present and potentially serious danger while browsing the web. Viruses can slow your computer down to a crawl and in the worst of scenarios they can corrupt data on your hard drive causing important files such as family pictures to be lost permanently. Spyware can be just as dangerous; it is sometimes used to try and steal personal information like credit card numbers and to aid in identity theft. You probably won't encounter these more extreme situations but at the very least it is a good idea to have some kind of malware protection to keep your computer running smoothly.
    

There are countless anti-virus programs out there but the one we personally use and recommend is "Microsoft Security Essentials". It is very effective at detecting and dealing with harmful software and best of all it's free! 
 

 

Virus Detection and Removal

NOTE: MSE is a free program. We charge $10 to install as a service, but not for the program itself. If you want to install it yourself, just Google it; otherwise if you are not so handy with computers, or just don't want to do it yourself, we are more than happy to do it for you.

If your computer already has a virus feel free to bring it to our shop and we'll take a look at it for free. We charge $25 to wipe your computer clean which includes removal of viruses and other malware as well as removal of unnecessary programs (i.e. extra toolbars, ect.) that may be slowing your computer and internet connection.
